Album 17 · the sixth Cullective
This is the sixth time I’ve asked the Cullective to help me bring an album into the world. It’s the seventeenth time I’ve made one.
Every April 27 for twenty years, one more. And each time, a handful of you have made it possible — 269 of you across five preorder campaigns, nearly fifty thousand dollars, thousands of nights of studio. Cú Chulainn II opens for preorder April 27, 2026 — and drops one year later, on April 27, 2027. A whole year of work, dispatches, and you with us before the record lands.
The first one ended with the boy taking a name. This one is what comes after that name is earned — the long crescendo of battle, the betrayals you don’t see coming, and the death no one walks away from. Cú Chulainn II is the close of the cycle: the watch kept, the wound delivered, the standing-stone moment when a hero straps himself upright so he can die on his feet.
